The Voice of Protest is alive and Well in the New Music Industry

By: Stewart Brennan

The Real Voice of protest is alive and well in today’s underground music scene.

Music will always reflect the attitudes and feelings of the ordinary person on the street because “Music is the peoples voice”.

However, suppression is another story…Censorship is a multi legged creature that can be found wherever a corporate bottom line is affected and since the music industry is owned by the multi-conglomerate weapons industry, you’re not going to hear any anti-war songs or any anti-corporate songs for that matter on the mainstream airwaves, especially if the message in the song draws negative attention to a product or affects the sales and bottom line of an associated company.

That is why, what passes for music on the mainstream airwaves and television today is totally disconnected from reality, while being foreign to what is really going on in life. The corporations that control the mainstream music industry have successfully removed the collective consciousness and voice of the people from the airwaves and replaced it with a fabricated one that is empty of any meaningful substance. Most of the songs are alike and have been standardized into sterilized clones of each other.

This is precisely the reason why the music Industry has taken a nosedive in sales; much the same way mainstream TV news lost its viewers because they both evolved into a corporate fabricated medium for trash and propaganda. Music has taken the same disastrous path as televised News because it is owned by the same corporations that own the News…

The voice of the people (thoughts and feelings) is found in music, and that voice is found mostly in the underground and Independent music scenes, where reaction to current events play themselves out in the lyrics and performances of the artists.

Take the events from the false flag attacks in Paris France for example, the voice and expression of the people resulting from those events comes out in music. Here is one song that speaks to the human reaction and attitude from those events, which coincidently is missing from the mainstream airwaves, but is alive and well in the underground music Industry.

Je Suis Free - Healthy Junkies

Corporate arrogance and its dehumanizing platform, which is all too often legislated by corporate lobby groups against all humanitarian ethics and morals, is the real battle we find ourselves in today, and we are losing...losing because we have lost our voice on the mainstream airwaves.

The BP oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico back in 2010, was the largest environmental disaster by a corporation in history, until Fukushima topped that one in 2011, but I digress. The establishment did everything they could to sweep all news of the BP Oil disaster under the carpet, and did so with law enforcement.

Had the BP disaster happened in the 1960’s or 1970’s, a song would have been written about it and played over the national radio airwaves, it would have been in the top 10, and would have also sparked an environmental movement right across the USA, and indeed other countries...here's a song that was written by an Independent band to, "Save Us from Ourselves"

Save Us from Ourselves - Blackberry Wednesday

Yes, save us from ourselves! “…Can you hear that sound, there’s a war coming…”…Passionate, Empowering, Prophetic and Missing from the mainstream music airwaves…are you surprised?

Sometimes music expresses our anger and dissatisfaction with the status quo of corporate governance, their insolence and corruption…because as you revolutionaries know, the people that control our world are truly "Crooked and Bent"!

Crooked and Bent - The Inflictors

In response to censorship, "Alternative News" websites have sprung up all over the Internet as people are becoming the press and really challenging the insanity of mainstreams fabricated news. Likewise, an alternative music Industry is growing beneath the decaying remains of the mainstream music Industry because music with the peoples voice, has been suppressed...and it needs a place to vent.

Music is always evolving and represents the common threads of how we feel about life. Musicians, artists, activists and their dedicated fans will never back down, and always, “Put Up a Fight”.

Put Up a Fight - Michael Mazochi

This is what the revolution looks like, people like you and I taking life by the horns and becoming what we envision instead of following a zombie herd over the cliff behind mainstreams pied pipers…the manual on “How to Start a Revolution” is in your hands…

How to Start a Revolution - Some Velvet Morning

Of course, Revolution does not just belong to the unsigned and Independent bands and artists alone, it has also reached some of the best acts still remaining under the mainstream labels, even though you wont hear their protest songs on the radio airwaves, they still fight for what is right.

Revolutions won't work? Just try to imprison or suppress a person’s thoughts or idea’s…censorship and suppression will never be successful, because thoughts and ideas are like seeds with wings that fly around until they find fertile soil to take root. …the next thing you know there are “99 Revolutions” planted and growing…

99 Revolutions - Green Day

The revolution begins when the people unite and stand up against corporate dictatorship. That’s where the real war will be waged to bring back our freedom of expression. People vs Corporate Interests.

Today, Free Trade is the main tool used by corporations to takeover the resources of our planet, regardless of the destruction they entail…and so we need a revolution, to battle back against the corporate war being waged on people all over the world…a revolution in every country. Music is the medium that connects our common thoughts, the common airwaves is what sparks the movement to unite us in a determined stand together.

We need to stand up and say THIS!!...THIS IS “MY COUNTRY”!

My Country - Rachel Van Zanten

The Environment is truly one of the biggest topics today, yet the problems and concerns are not being addressed in mainstream music…however, it is being addressed by many in the underground music scene.

In our daily lives, fighting back seems to be a hopeless venture especially when we see our schools filled with the establishments history, lies and corporate message, teaching our children the "Wrong Lines"…

Wrong Lines - Darling and Co

The message is there, protest and revolution is still within music, but it needs a medium to reach the people. If we work together towards this goal, to stand up where we either take the airwaves back from mainstream or create our own airwaves, then we will be on the right track to “Finding a Better Way”.

Finding a Better Way - Tom Moriarty

Music is what connects all of us together, especially when it is played across common airwaves. It did so in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s and could easily do so again today if we create the platform together that introduces new music in reflection to the peoples voice…

“100 Years from Now” our grandchildren could look back and say…”How did we ever survive”...well it's because we stood up and did something about it.

Not all is doom and gloom in the World because there are many moments of hope and there are many songs of hope out there that help make all the difference. Music is your voice and there are a lot of people singing...just have a listen and you'll experience the hopeful signs as well.

100 Years from Now - Michael on Fire

Oh, and by the way, 100 years from now, “Little Richard” will STILL be the “King of Rock n Roll”… 8-)

US Complicit in Terrorist Oil Trade with Turkey

By: Stewart Brennan

How is it that the American Military cannot see the terrorist oil operations on the ground in Syria and Russia can? That’s the question US news media personnel should be asking themselves and then asking their government…but alas, there really isn’t a news media in the USA anymore unless you go online and look for the alternative media. The American mainstream media is nothing more than a military corporate propaganda mouth piece that is staffed by spineless washouts who’ve sold their souls and moral compass’s for 30 pieces of silver…the American Media is owned by special interests with deep pockets and they are in collusion with the US Pentagon and corporate America.

The 6 Corporations That Control Your Perception of World Events (2013)

No wonder the US population has no clue about what is going on in the world, and it also explains how special interests run the entire geopolitical show. Is there any doubt?

The US Military is Protecting the Terrorists, not bombing them.

It has become quite obvious that the US military is not interested in destroying the terrorists they claim to be bombing. Especially when their targets are the Syrian infrastructure and not the terrorist oil pipeline that goes into Turkey via hundreds of trucks everyday.

Source: Press TV

The US government does not care about the Syrian people, if it did, they would not be bombing the vital infrastructure that keeps the people alive…

The US & Turkish governments also deny having any knowledge about the illegal oil trade going on under their noses. Oh really? So, how is it that the Russians, who have one military base in the region, can provide all the evidence of the illegal terrorist oil truck pipeline in stark detail, and the Americans who have 100 plus military bases throughout the region, along with dozens of satellites, and a fleet of hi tech drones, cannot provide any intelligence on the terrorist practices? Come on, who are they kidding??…And how is it that Turkey doesn’t know about what is going on in its own country? Especially when they have an extravagant spying system in place throughout the country…just say the words “Kurdish Independence” or “Armenian genocide” and see how fast some state thug shows up at your door to arrest you…oblivious indeed…pfffft.

Source: Russia Today

Can the Americans really claim that they didn't know about the illegal terrorist oil pipeline between Syria and Turkey where their so called moderate terrorists are, trained, supplied, and set upon the Syrian people?

The Americans back the terrorists and the Turkish government on a number of levels, from oil smuggling, military weapons supply to the looting of Syria’s cultural history and artifacts. The terrorist smuggling operations run all the way into Turkey from the terrorist positions in Syria!

However, Russia spoiled American, and Turkish regional plans when they began bombing terrorist positions and supply lines...this has really pissed off war mongering Senators like John McCain & Lindsey Graham. They have been seething in anger since the Russians seized the American "war on terror" away from the US Military in Syria where the Russians were doing what the Americans were never doing, "bombing the terrorists"…

The Americans and Turks were caught red handed by the Russians. They cannot deny the evidence anymore, because its right in their faces…no wonder the American mainstream media is pouring all their viewers attention into another home grown violent episode instead of putting the focus on Turkey being caught in bed with the terrorists and the terrorist oil trade. Certainly this is a much bigger story…

The Turkish government was also caught supplying the terrorists with weapons by one of the last remaining independent news mediums inside Turkey (Cumhuriyet). However, the journalists were arrested by Turkey’s government and thrown in Jail for treason…funny, whistle blowers in the USA such as Bradley Manning and Edward Snowdon get the same treatment so it is no wonder Turkey is a close friend and partner in crime with the US government, they’re exactly alike.

Recently, a prominent Iraqi politician pleaded with the US military government to stop the Illegal oil trade but his plea fell on deaf ears.

Military Build Up on the Turkey Syria Border

Scroll Down for Important World News in Video Format including LIVE News Feed to RT

By Stewart Brennan

There is a rapid military build up on the Turkey / Syrian border that poses an immediate threat to the region and possibly to the world as NATO member Turkey faces off against Russia in an escalating war of words, actions and reactions.

Considering that Turkey deliberately shot down a Russian Bomber inside Syrian air space, then refused to apologize for their actions, and then claimed it was their right to shoot the plane down, is of grave concern, especially when NATO backed up Turkey’s claim.

Turkey’s military build up on the Syrian border requires very close monitoring because it can spin off in a very dangerous way. Here are the probable scenarios that come with Turkey’s aggressive posture and military build up on their border with Syria.

  1. A regional war or invasion force to take Syrian land that Turkey considers their protectorate.
  2. A Military build up to provide the western backed terrorists with an endless supply of weapons and manpower required to overthrow the Syrian government.
  3. A military build up to protect the illegal terrorist’s and their oil trade.
  4. A defensive posture to shore up its porous border with Syria as per US President Obama’s official statement…
  5. All of the above...
We all know that the US, their NATO Partners, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the Gulf State allies along with Israel still insist that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad must leave power. They also play a large role in funding equipping and training the mercenary armies on the ground in Syria, so it is no wonder that they do not want to join Russia’s coalition in eradicating the terrorists on the ground, since those terrorists belong to them…and how many times does it have to be said for thick skulled western leaders to get it, that only the Syrian people can decide through elections who will represent them?

The US coalition lacks a UN mandate to start a military campaign in Syria and when asked to join with the Russian and Syrian military to remove the terrorists, the US and its coalition of partners outright refused. The west’s concern is not about the terrorists in the region but the removal of Assad from power, mainly because President Assad claims his countries independence from US hegemony.

Turkey along with the US, Europe, and Saudi Arabia have all played a part in the mercenary armies on the ground inside Syria, no matter what their name or names are now, they are ALL terrorists, plain and simple, who have been tasked by their masters to remove the Assad government by any means necessary.

There has not been one sane mind among the western leaders when it comes to resolving the crisis they created in Syria. They all want Assad to go and continue to insist on it as they look for ways to get into Syria and bomb the country into dust to advance their combined agenda’s.

Thankfully there is a coalition of nations that adhere to International law and have made every effort to abide by those laws, which we citizens in the West believe in. Our governments on the other hand, are not listening to “we the people” or to common sense.

Terrorism needs to be eradicated, and the best way to do that is to stop funding them, stop arming them, and stop training them. Ending terrorism in the region will take the combined efforts of ALL nations working together in order to eradicate this plague of hate…but it is clearly obvious to everyone who has been following the events over the past four and a half years, that removing terrorism from the region is the furthest thing on the US coalitions mind.

Here are the Facts:

  • The US, UK, France their allies, plus Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Israel continue to fund, arm and train terrorists to overthrow the Syrian government.
  • NATO countries have begun joining the Americans false war on terror. (France and Germany are already there and the UK will vote on it Wednesday December 2nd)
  • The US war coalition does not have a mandate from the UN to conduct military operations in Syria, nor does it have the Syrian government’s permission.
  • Russia was invited to help eradicate terrorism from Syria by the Syrian government.
  • Russia asked all the NATO and US friendly Gulf State countries to join their initiative in Syria but they refused...including Turkey, the US, UK, Saudi Arabia, etc…
  • France has stated they will work with Russia but continues to back away from the Russian coalition by siding with the independent and illegal US coalition.
  • The Russian Air force is supporting the Syrian Government and eradicating foreign backed terrorists inside Syria.
  • The Terrorists are running an oil truck pipeline from Syria into Turkey
  • Russia bombed the terrorists oil smuggling truck pipeline and disrupted their revenue flow to Turkey.
  • Turkey was angry and deliberately shot down a Russian Bomber over the Syrian region where the terrorist oil smuggling operation passed through.
  • Turkey refuses to apologize to Russia for shooting down its plane.
  • Russia responded by deploying their S-400 missile system in Syria to protect their air force from any further aggression.
  • Turkey then responded by bringing a 1000 units of heavy equipment (Tanks etc) to the border and countered Russia’s S-400 missile defence system with the deployment of electronic jamming equipment.
  • NATO backs Turkey’s aggression on shooting down of the Russian jet.
  • The US makes up 90% of NATO.
  • The US and NATO refuse to work with Russia on eradicating terrorism in Syria.
  • US war machine is in full propaganda mode at home to confront Russia.
Firebrand senators want boots in Syria to dislodge Russia –(2015 Dec 01)

Source: Press TV

Why is the US acting so much more irrational than usual?

The US bully was out manoeuvred in their global war on terror by a Russian side that said, “ok, lets do this together” and then proceeded to take the initiative in an International legal manner. The American’s found themselves outside the law as well as outside the Middle East theatre, with no legal way back into Syria except to join the Russian coalition against terrorism in Syria…American arrogance and their pursuit of global hegemony over all nations prevails and will not recede, therefore we can expect further escalation by the US and it’s coalition in Syria…and other places. (Possibly Ukraine.)

Getting back to Tukey…

Turkey’s fatal error of shooting down a Russian plane and refusing to apologize for their action will meet with a reply by Russia in the near future and could come in the form of partnering with the Syrian Kurds, much to Turkey’s alarm since Turkey has been bombing the Syrian & Iraqi Kurds without mercy. Turkey is also at war with the Kurdish people within their own Turkish borders.

A partnership between Russia and the Syrian Kurds might already have happened if the following news is confirmed to be true…

So, if Russia did indeed approach the Kurds and promised to protect them from Turkey’s bombers (unlike the Americans), then we will see a one up-manship by the US / NATO in response…

The desire to bomb Syria by the Western coalition did not begin in 2015, but back in 2013 when the US, UK, France and others were convinced, without evidence, that Assad had used chemical weapons on his own people. These allegations turned out to be false as we all saw that the Western backed terrorists were the ones using chemical weapons.

The Syrian War What You're Not Being Told – (2013 – Sept 03)

It was only the efforts of millions of concerned people all over the World that stopped their governments from committing another war crime in the middle east, a fact that UK Prime Minister David Cameron responded to, in humiliated acknowledgement of a Parliamentary defeat, by his words “the answer is no and, I get that”…

It seems that Cameron and company didn’t get it…because here we are again, at a very dangerous point in time that demands the people of the West stand up and speak out against this determined coalition of war mongers.

Tell them to join Russia’s coalition to eradicate the terrorists and tell them to stop selling weapons to Belligerent Gulf States who arm the terrorists everyone claims to be fighting…and how hard can it be to track 1 Billion dollars a year in illegal Oil sales let alone thousands of trucks crossing the Syrian Border into Turkey…transactions have to show up in the financial system somewhere, because selling vast amounts of illegal oil and the purchase / sale of mass amounts of weapons has to be traced in the American Petro Dollar books…don’t tell me they can’t trace it…

Stand UP, Speak OUT, and tell them to work with Russia’s “legal coalition” if they want to stomp out terrorism…and while you’re at it, tell your leaders to properly address their belligerent partner "Turkey" for its arrogant posture and deliberate military escalation. We don’t need another major War.

UK Parliament Votes to break International Law by Bombing Syria

Scroll Down for Important World News in Video Format including LIVE News Feed to RT

Source: PressTV

British Prime Minister David Cameron says a one-day debate will be held in parliament on Wednesday on whether his country will commence airstrikes against Daesh in Syria.

"I can announce that I will be recommending to cabinet tomorrow that we hold a debate and a vote in the House of Commons to extend the airstrikes," he said, referring to Britain's current air campaign as part of a US-led coalition against purported Daesh positions in Iraq.

"I believe there's growing support across parliament for the compelling case there is to answer the call from our allies, to act against Daesh in Syria and in Iraq," he said in a televised statement on Monday.

Cameron also denied a request made earlier by UK Labour party leader Jeremy Corbyn to hold a full two-day debate on the subject.

“As has happened previously a one-day debate would inevitably lead to important contributions being curtailed. It is incumbent on us all to ensure the country feels there has been the fullest parliamentary discussion of what you have rightly described as a highly complex situation,” Corbyn wrote in a letter to Cameron.

Meanwhile, Corbyn told members of parliament that they are free to vote on the subject of bombing Syria – a move that strays from a tradition in which British party leaders dictated what members should vote during major debates.

Since August 2014, the United States and some of its allies have been conducting airstrikes against what they say are Daesh positions in Iraq. Since last September, some members of the US-led coalition have also been pounding purported Daesh positions inside Syria without any authorization from Damascus or a UN mandate.

However, the airstrikes have not dislodged the Daesh terrorists and have reportedly caused huge collateral damage and civilian deaths.

The Labour Party has confirmed that it will offer its MPs a free vote on the Tory government’s proposal for UK airstrikes against ISIL terrorists in Syria.

The controversial decision to extend military operations against ISIL from Iraq to Syria came at a shadow cabinet meeting. The party's leader Jeremy Corbyn and most of its members are opposed to bombing. They believe airstrikes in Syria could deteriorate the situation and increase support for ISIL.

However, some Labour lawmakers want to back Prime Minister David Cameron's call for more bombing. Corbyn has requested a two-day debate on the issue in the House of Commons.

In his letter to Cameron, Corbyn has asked for more details of the planned airstrikes.

“As of this morning, we have not had a clear proposal from the government on when you plan to bring forward a motion to the house on airstrikes in Syria or on arrangements for the debate…In the view of the opposition on a matter of such critical importance there must be full and adequate time for any debate in the house and only a full two-day debate would ensure time for all members who wish to participate to be able to do so,” Corbyn wrote to Cameron

The decision is seen as a last-ditch effort by Corbyn aimed at averting the threat of a mass shadow cabinet walkout.

The Labour Party has already announced that the official party line will be a "strong anti-bombing" position, which is backed by the membership.

The vote comes after a hot debate in the House of Commons on how Britain should respond to an alleged chemical weapons attack in Syria. During the debate, Prime Minister David Cameron urged the M-Ps to approve military action against the Syrian government. Cameron made the call despite his admission that there was no definitive evidence Damascus had carried out chemical weapons attacks against the Syrian people. The opposition, however, rejected Cameron's proposal and stated that Britain should wait for the U-N team of chemical weapons inspectors to finish their investigation in Syria.

An Important Message to the People of the West

Scroll Down for Important World News in Video Format including LIVE News Feed to RT

Video Source: Press TV

To the Youth in Western Countries,

The bitter events brought about by blind terrorism in France have once again, moved me to speak to you young people.  For me, it is unfortunate that such incidents would have to create the framework for a conversation, however the truth is that if painful matters do not create the grounds for finding solutions and mutual consultation, then the damage caused will be multiplied.

The pain of any human being anywhere in the world causes sorrow for a fellow human being.  The sight of a child losing his life in the presence of his loved ones, a mother whose joy for her family turns into mourning, a husband who is rushing the lifeless body of his spouse to some place and the spectator who does not know whether he will be seeing the final scene of life- these are scenes that rouse the emotions and feelings of any human being.  Anyone who has benefited from affection and humanity is affected and disturbed by witnessing these scenes - whether they occur in France or in Palestine or Iraq or Lebanon or Syria.

Without a doubt, the one-and-a-half billion Muslims also have these feelings and abhor and are revolted by the perpetrators and those responsible for these calamities. The issue, however, is that if today’s pain is not used to build a better and safer future, then it will just turn into bitter and fruitless memories. I genuinely believe that it is only you youth who by learning the lessons of today’s hardship, have the power to discover new means for building the future and who can be barriers in the misguided path that has brought the west to its current impasse.

It is correct that today terrorism is our common worry.  However it is necessary for you to know that the insecurity and strain that you experienced during the recent events, differs from the pain that the people of Iraq, Yemen, Syria and Afghanistan have been experiencing for many years, in two significant ways.  First, the Islamic world has been the victim of terror and brutality to a larger extent territorially, to greater amount quantitatively and for a longer period in terms of time. Second, that unfortunately this violence has been supported by certain great powers through various methods and effective means.

Today, there are very few people who are uninformed about the role of the United States of America in creating, nurturing and arming al-Qaeda, the Taliban and their inauspicious successors.  Besides this direct support, the overt and well-known supporters of takfiri terrorism- despite having the most backward political systems- are standing arrayed as allies of the west while the most pioneering, brightest and most dynamic democrats in the region are suppressed mercilessly. The prejudiced response of the west to the awakening movement in the Islamic world is an illustrative example of the contradictory western policies.

The other side of these contradictory policies is seen in supporting the state terrorism of Israel.  The oppressed people of Palestine have experienced the worst kind of terrorism for the last sixty years.  If the people of Europe have now taken refuge in their homes for a few days and refrain from being present in busy places- it is decades that a Palestinian family is not secure even in its own home from the Zionist regime’s death and destruction machinery. What kind of atrocious violence today is comparable to that of the settlement constructions of the Zionist regime?

This regime- without ever being seriously and significantly censured by its influential allies or even by the so-called independent international organizations- everyday demolishes the homes of Palestinians and destroys their orchards and farms.  This is done without even giving them time to gather their belongings or agricultural products and usually it is done in front of the terrified and tear-filled eyes of women and children who witness the brutal beatings of their family members who in some cases are being dragged away to gruesome torture chambers.  In today’s world, do we know of any other violence on this scale and scope and for such an extended period of time?

Shooting down a woman in the middle of the street for the crime of protesting against a soldier who is armed to the teeth- if this is not terrorism, what is? This barbarism, because it is being done by the armed forces of an occupying government, should not be called extremism? Or maybe only because these scenes have been seen repeatedly on television screens for sixty years, they should no longer stir our consciences.

The military invasions of the Islamic world in recent years- with countless victims- are another example of the contradictory logic of the west. The assaulted countries, in addition to the human damage caused, have lost their economic and industrial infrastructure, their movement towards growth and development has been stopped or delayed and in some cases, has been thrown back decades.  Despite all this, they are rudely being asked not to see themselves as oppressed.  How can a country be turned into ruins, have its cities and towns covered in dust and then be told that it should please not view itself as oppressed? Instead of enticements to not understand and to not mention disasters, would not an honest apology be better?  The pain that the Islamic world has suffered in these years from the hypocrisy and duplicity of the invaders is not less than the pain from the material damage.

Dear youth! I have the hope that you- now or in the future- can change this mentality corrupted by duplicity, a mentality whose highest skill is hiding long-term goals and adorning malevolent objectives.  In my opinion, the first step in creating security and peace is reforming this violence-breeding mentality.  Until double-standards dominate western policies, until terrorism- in the view of its powerful supporters- is divided into “good” and “bad” types, and until governmental interests are given precedence over human values and ethics, the roots of violence should not be searched for in other places.

Unfortunately, these roots have taken hold in the depths of western political culture over the course of many years and they have caused a soft and silent invasion.  Many countries of the world take pride in their local and national cultures, cultures which through development and regeneration have soundly nurtured human societies for centuries.  The Islamic world is not an exception to this.  However in the current era, the western world with the use of advanced tools is insisting on the cloning and replication of its culture on a global scale.  I consider the imposition of western culture upon other peoples and the trivialization of independent cultures as a form of silent violence and extreme harmfulness.

Humiliating rich cultures and insulting the most honored parts of these, is occurring while the alternative culture being offered in no way has any qualification for being a replacement.  For example, the two elements of “aggression” and “moral promiscuity” which unfortunately have become the main elements of western culture, have even degraded the position and acceptability of its source region.

So now the question is: are we “sinners” for not wanting an aggressive, vulgar and fatuous culture? Are we to be blamed for blocking the flood of impropriety that is directed towards our youth in the shape of various forms of quasi-art?  I do not deny the importance and value of cultural interaction.  Whenever these interactions are conducted in natural circumstances and with respect for the receiving culture, they result in growth, development and richness.  On the contrary, inharmonious interactions have been unsuccessful and harmful impositions.

We have to state with full regret that vile groups such as DAESH are the spawn of such ill-fated pairings with imported cultures.  If the matter was simply theological, we would have had to witness such phenomena before the colonialist era, yet history shows the contrary.  Authoritative historical records clearly show how colonialist confluence of extremist and rejected thoughts in the heart of a Bedouin tribe, planted the seed of extremism in this region.  How then is it possible that such garbage as DAESH comes out of one of the most ethical and humane religious schools which as part of its inner core, includes the notion that taking the life of one human being is equivalent to killing the whole humanity?

One has to ask why people who are born in Europe and who have been intellectually and mentally nurtured in that environment are attracted to such groups?  Can we really believe that people with only one or two trips to war zones, suddenly become so extreme that they can riddle the bodies of their compatriots with bullets?  On this matter, we certainly cannot forget about the effects of a life nurtured in a pathologic culture in a corrupt environment borne out of violence.  On this matter, we need complete analyses, analyses that see the hidden and apparent corruptions.  Maybe a deep hate- planted in the years of economic and industrial growth and borne out of inequality and possibly legal and structural prejudice- created ideas that every few years appear in a sickening manner.

In any case, you are the ones that have to uncover the apparent layers of your own society and untie and disentangle the knots and resentments. Fissures have to be sealed, not deepened. Hasty reactions is a major mistake when fighting terrorism which only widens the chasms. Any rushed and emotional reaction which would isolate, intimidate and create more anxiety for the Muslim communities living in Europe and America- which are comprised of millions of active and responsible human beings- and which would deprive them of their basic rights more than has already happened and which would drive them away from society- not only will not solve the problem but will increase the chasms and resentments.

Superficial measures and reactions, especially if they take legal forms, will do nothing but increase the current polarizations, open the way for future crises and will result in nothing else.   According to reports received, some countries in Europe have issued guidelines encouraging citizens to spy on Muslims.  This behavior is unjust and we all know that pursuing injustice has the characteristic of unwanted reversibility.  Besides, the Muslims do not deserve such ill-treatment.  For centuries, the western world has known Muslims well- the day that westerners were guests in Islamic lands and were attracted to the riches of their hosts and on another day when they were hosts and benefitted from the efforts and thoughts of Muslims- they generally experienced nothing but kindness and forbearance.

Therefore I want you youth to lay the foundations for a correct and honorable interaction with the Islamic world based on correct understanding, deep insight and lessons learned from horrible experiences.  In such a case and in the not too distant future, you will witness the edifice built on these firm foundations which creates a shade of confidence and trust which cools the crown of its architect, a warmth of security and peace that it bequests on them and a blaze of hope in a bright future which illuminates the canvass of the earth.
